I do not recommend Dr. AFZAL Mohammed under any circumstances. From my son’s newborn stage to our very last visit, he never once physically looked over or examined him unless I specifically asked. He would walk in, sit at his computer, and ask questions off the screen. No hands on care, no genuine interaction. At one point, I had to insist he check my son’s ears because I suspected an infection. He told me everything was fine. A couple weeks later, I went to my former pediatrician who confirmed my son had a full-blown ear infection. When I saw him next and told him about that, he seemed rather irritated that I saw a different doctor instead of having any concern for my son’s health! Dr. Mohammed also made an extremely premature call by saying my son is autistic after asking him one question, just 10 minutes into our appointment, despite not having seen him in months. He suggested a diagnosis just to “speed up services,” which felt careless and inappropriate—especially since his new doctor completely disagrees and my son isn’t even 2 yet. It honestly felt like he was more focused on moving through appointments than actually caring for his patients. Or maybe like he’s been doing this for so long that he couldn’t care less what you have to say. He doesn’t seem to enjoy working with children, and unfortunately, that shows.
