It’s disappointing that booking an appointment can be such a challenging experience for patients. For those of us managing ongoing mental health and long-standing health concerns, this difficulty adds an unnecessary layer of stress. I’ve encountered similar issues not only with this physician’s office but also with others, where contacting the office or booking an appointment is an obstacle. Phone calls go unanswered, and very narrow specific hours are available for booking, which doesn’t always accommodate patients’ needs. It would be wonderful if patient-centered solutions, such as more responsive scheduling systems or even automated booking, could be implemented to make the process easier. In an age where technology allows for seamless scheduling, it’s frustrating that patient needs are overlooked in favor of administrative routines driven by secretaries that don’t truly care about patients.
