I usually see her husband, Dr. Fiala, who has been my family doctor for about 30 years. However, I still remember the one occasion on which I visited Dr. Katrina about ten or 15 years ago, when I was a teen struggling with acne. She was incredibly warm, professional, reassuring, and helpful, changing my skin with just a couple recommendations explained plainly and positively. She’s also taken solid care of my mom and grandmother, including in pinpointing, I believe, several instances of skin changes that could’ve been malignancies, and one which was, but which, thanks to her, was promptly prevented from in any way hindering their health. Our whole family considers both Drs. Fiala extended relatives, practically: not because we’re Czech, but because we’ve found no one else who cares like they do, despite having lots of patients and having more than earned the chance to retire. Asked why they won’t? “What else would we do?” Healthcare is who they are, and it shows!
