Best Doctor in Ottawa

If I could give a review with zero stars, I would. After one appointment with Dr. Planet, I immediately switched doctors. He was abrasive, pompous and answered medical questions with “cause I said so.” At the beginning of our appointment, Dr. Planet asked for details about my condition but I was unable to explain my situation, for I was interrupted by Dr. Planet every time I opened my mouth. Learning not to interrupt is a very basic skill most people master in kindergarten and the fact that this middle-aged man wasn’t capable of what most five and six year olds are capable of honestly unnerved me. Like… sorry… how are you older than sixty with the social skills of a seven-year-old… Later, when I asked for him to explain his care suggestions which contradicted with another doctor’s opinion, he said “because I’m telling you to.” In the medical field, this is a non-answer and when people are going in for surgeries, they want to have a clear understanding of what it is that will be happening to them. One single appointment that barely lasted ten minutes was more than enough to confirm I would not be comfortable continuing with this doctor. To reiterate… the review is one star because I had to assign a minimum of one star. But if I could, it’d be zero. Unprofessional. Arrogant. And the uncontrollable urge not to cut someone off mid-sentence? Infantile. On that note, the rest of the staff were pretty friendly.
